Cambria Wins Pause on Insurance Dispute Over Silica Litigation

A Minnesota federal court paused a lawsuit seeking to determine whether a Tokio Marine Holdings Inc. unit has to provide coverage for cases against a stone slab manufacturer brought by workers who allege they were harmed by inhaling silica dust.

The insurance coverage case is stayed for six months while a California federal court decides whether it has jurisdiction over additional underlying silica claims that have yet to be identified by Cambria Co., according to a Monday opinion from the US District Court for the District of Minnesota.
