House Republicans green-lit over $3 billion in spending cuts for the Labor Department, advancing a bill through committee that would eliminate several large programs and department bureaus.

The GOP’s funding package for the departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education was approved by the House Appropriations Committee along party lines Tuesday. The bill would eliminate the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Women’s Bureau, and International Labor Affairs Bureau.
