Adidas Investor Meets Skeptical Court in Rapper Ye Deal Appeal

An Adidas AG investor’s bid to revive a proposed class action tied to the footwear brand’s imploded partnership with the rapper formerly known as Kanye West seemed at risk in front of an appellate panel.

At oral arguments Thursday in the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the investor’s counsel said the Adidas’ risk disclosures presented the business impacts of the controversial hip hop mogul’s actions as a hypothetical when those risks had already materialized.
