DOJ Memo Warns Staff of ‘Adverse Consequences’ Over DEI Programs

The acting head of the US Justice Department threatened employees with “adverse consequences” if they fail to report diversity and inclusion programs, following President Donald Trump’s move to eliminate DEI initiatives across the federal government.

James R. McHenry III, named by Trump to run the DOJ temporarily, said the department was taking steps to close all diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility offices and end all related contracts, according to a Jan. 22 memorandum viewed by Bloomberg News.
