A group of former US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Labor Department officials criticized the agency’s recent proposal to rescind its comprehensive anti-harassment guidance without allowing public comment.
The commission’s Dec. 29 request to the White House to pull the Biden-era guidance, which includes LGBTQ+ harassment protections and guidelines on pronoun use in the workplace, marked “yet another salvo in this Administration’s prolonged attack on” the LGBTQ+ community, the group said in a Jan. 6 public statement.
