A federal judge Thursday temporarily paused Federal Trade Commission investigations into two medical professional organizations that support gender-affirming care.
Chief Judge James E. Boasberg of the US District Court for the District of Columbia granted preliminary injunctions against the FTC probes into the Endocrine Society and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
Boasberg in both opinions stated the groups were likely to succeed on their First Amendment retaliation claims against the FTC.
