Menendez Brothers Advocates Say L.A. DA Hochman Derailed Careers

Two prosecutors who advocated for the Menendez brothers’ resentencing sued Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman Monday, accusing him of defaming them and derailing their careers.

The brothers, convicted of murdering their parents, are scheduled to appear in court Friday. A resentencing motion was filed by former DA George Gascón filed last fall, but Hochman has since retracted it.

Nancy Theberge and Brock Lunsford were supervisors in the resentencing unit under former Gascón and said the brothers should be resentenced because a new state law required it.
