Chicago Bears Plan to Leave Illinois for Indiana After 100 Years

After over 100 years in Illinois, the Chicago Bears said they’re planning to leave the state and head to Indiana.

The team, owned by the third generation of the Halas and McCaskey families, said it intends to build a new stadium in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact site yet to be selected. Hammond is about half an hour by car from Soldier Field, the team’s current home on Chicago’s lakefront.
