Google Opposes California App-store Age-check: States of Play

CALIFORNIA AGE-VERIFICATION LEGISLATION would make tech giants such as Alphabet and Apple bear age-verification responsibilities for their app stores under a bill set for a key committee vote Tuesday. The California Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to approve the measure with some changes, such as removing language that would require parental consent to download apps.
