TECH INDUSTRY GROUPS WANT New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to veto sweeping measures that would place restrictions on the use of AI, health data, and social media.

  • The sector is lobbying against bills that cleared the state Legislature to require AI developers to develop safety plans (S.B. 6953B), subject businesses nationwide to restrictions on health data (S.B. 929), and mandate that online platforms with “addictive” features (S.B. 4505) warn their users.
