Judge Questions Jurisdiction in Trump’s Lawsuit Against IRS

A federal judge is questioning whether courts have jurisdiction over President Donald Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS over the leak of his tax information.

It’s unclear whether the parties are “sufficiently adverse to each other” for the courts to have subject matter jurisdiction, Judge Kathleen M. Williams of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said in a filing Friday.

She ordered the parties in the case to submit filings on the issue by May 20, and scheduled a hearing for May 27.
