Minnesota residents will have more control over the data companies collect on them under a law signed Friday by Gov. Tim Walz (D).
The measure, part of a broader package (H.F. 4757), will give consumers similar protections to privacy laws in other states, such as the right to know what data a company collects and to opt out of certain uses.
