CALIFORNIA LAWMAKERS are trying again to make it easier for state residents to block the sale of sharing of data about websites they visit.
- A bill approved by a state Assembly committee would be the first to mandate opt-out options for browers such as Google’s Chrome. Tech businesses opposing the measure make significant revenue from advertising that uses user data to target displays.
