State lawmakers are incorporating lessons learned from a lawsuit challenging a California kids’ online safety law to strengthen their own bills against constitutional challenges.

Maryland is poised to be the next state to enact a design code requiring tech companies to consider how their products impact youth as they build out their platforms.
