More than a dozen states have joined the legal fray against US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s sweeping vaccine policy changes by claiming they threaten the states’ efforts to encourage vaccinations among their populations.

  • The states have sued Kennedy in federal court in California, arguing that he unlawfully replaced members of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices with like-minded skeptics wary of vaccine safety.
