States Hint at Growing Online, AI Enforcement: States of Play

State privacy regulators are putting companies on alert for growing fines, behind-the-curtain investigations, and looming AI-related enforcement actions, Cassandre Coyer reports.

  • Enforcers from Indiana, California, Delaware, and Connecticut—all part of a consortium of states working together to investigate privacy violations—warned companies they’ve been “very busy” with investigations and non-public enforcement activity during an industry conference in Washington.
