The Justice Department has installed Francey Hakes, a Fox News commentator loyal to the Trump agenda, to lead a central support office for the nation’s US attorneys.
Hakes, whose appointment as director of the Executive Office for US Attorneys was posted on a DOJ website Wednesday, previously spent a decade as a federal prosecutor in Georgia and was appointed under the Obama administration as national coordinator for child exploitation prevention.
Her frequent appearances on Fox News to provide a Trump-aligned law enforcement perspective compares to lower key predecessors. The office at DOJ headquarters in Washington traditionally plays an operational role. ...
