Turo Inc. failed to convince Massachusetts’ top court that the car-sharing company’s hosts should be allowed to use Boston’s Logan International Airport as a drop-off and pick-up location for online rental services, according to a Wednesday ruling.
After failing to reach a deal over the airport’s use with Turo, the Massachusetts Port Authority, which controls and maintains Logan, sued the company for alleged trespassing and related violations. While Turo has no physical presence at the airport, it facilitates thousands of handoffs at the airport each year, for which it should compensate Massport, the authority said.
