VIRGINIA LAWMAKERS are looking to redraw the state’s congressional maps as Democrats seek to counter similar moves by Republicans to win a House majority in the 2026 midterms.
- Democratic leaders in Virginia’s legislature are planning to introduce a constitutional amendment that would allow for an exception to the state’s 10-year redistricting requirements. Democrats currently hold six of Virginia’s 11 congressional seats.
