Taiwan Says It Made Constructive Progress in US Trade Talks (1)

Taiwan said it’s made “constructive progress” in a second round of trade talks with the US, which are aimed at avoiding tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.

“Both sides believe that constructive progress has been made in the negotiations so far,” the Taiwanese government said in a statement on Sunday. The talks took place in Washington in recent days, with the Taiwanese delegation meeting US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, it added.
