VW in Direct Talks With US Government on Tariffs, CEO Tells SZ

Volkswagen is negotiating directly with the US government to settle the tariff dispute, CEO Oliver Blume tells German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung in an interview.

• “I was in Washington myself and we have been in regular contact ever since. So far, we have had absolutely fair, constructive talks,” Blume says
• Blume says VW is willing to build on current US investments with “additional, massive” investments if there’s a solution to the tariff dispute
