The IRS will intensify its enforcement efforts on wealthy taxpayers and large partnerships starting as soon as this month, the agency said Friday.
Democrats’ tax-and-climate law provided tens of billions of dollars in funds for the IRS to build up its infrastructure for going after tax dodgers. In a detailed plan released earlier this year, the agency created a blueprint showing where it intends to focus these funds—including targeting large complex partnerships and high-income taxpayers.
