Amazon Asked by Senators if Melania Film Is ‘Pay-to-Play’ Scheme

A group of Democratic lawmakers including Sen. Elizabeth Warren write to Amazon CEO Andy Jassy asking him if the “Melania” documentary investment was “part of an apparent pay-to-play arrangement with the Trump Administration.”

• Lawmakers’ letter is dated yesterday and was provided in an emailed statement from Warren’s office
• Lawmakers ask Amazon how it valued the acquisition of the film and ask for communications between Amazon and Melania Trump, President Trump and their representatives about the transaction
