Microsoft Corp. has signed an agreement to buy carbon credits from a Danish biogas firm.
Under the deal, the tech giant will buy some 650,000 metric tons of carbon removal credits from BioCirc Group Holding ApS, which owns a network of biomethane plants in Denmark, according to a statement. After being captured, the CO2 will be sent to a storage site under the North Sea.
