WBD Deal Presents Conflict of Interest for Bondi, Senators Say

US Attorney General Pam Bondi should recuse herself from the Justice Department’s review of any Warner Bros. Discovery Inc merger due to “potential conflicts of interest related to her former employer, lobbying firm Ballard Partners,” Senators Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal say in an emailed statement.

• The senators write a letter to Bondi with the demand
• “Bondi’s ethics agreement includes pledge not to participate ‘in any particular matter involving specific parties in which (she) knows Ballard Partners is a party or represents a party’ until February 4,” according to the statement
