A Jury Finally Sides with Apple
Apple fended off patent infringement allegations from Optis Wireless, after two prior juries found the tech giant owed $506 million and $300 million.
The latest jury in a Texas federal court found yesterday that Apple didn’t infringe five patents for technology used in its iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch products. The Plano, Texas-based wireless communications company and its affiliates first sued the Silicon Valley company in 2019.
The ruling’s a big deal for Apple. A spokesperson for the tech company told Lauren Castle the company is pleased, saying that Optis “makes no products.” ...
