Black to Appeal Dismissal of Suit Against Apollo Co-Founder (1)

Leon Black will challenge a federal judge’s decision to throw out a lawsuit alleging fellow Apollo Global Management Inc. co-founder Josh Harris conspired with a Russian model and others to destroy his reputation.

Black filed papers Wednesday indicating he’s asking the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn Judge Paul Engelmayer’s June 30 ruling dismissing his claims that Harris, model Guzel Ganieva and public relations professional Steven Rubenstein violated civil racketeering laws by conspiring to destroy him personally and professionally.
