US District Judge Alan Albright will start being assigned cases filed in Austin on Monday, according to a new administrative order.
The Jan. 31 order obtained by Bloomberg Law and not yet published on the US District Court of the Western District of Texas’ website, said Albright will be assigned 40% of criminal and civil cases filed in Austin. He’ll hear 100% of the cases filed in Waco, a seat that Texas’s senators are currently seeking applicants to fill.
