Canada Police Investigate Gunfire at US Consulate in Toronto (1)

Canadian police are investigating a “national security incident” after shots were fired at the US consulate in Toronto early Tuesday morning.

A police officer was flagged down at around 5:30 a.m. Toronto time after a firearm was discharged outside the consulate on University Avenue, a major north-south road that connects the city’s financial district with Ontario government buildings. No injuries were reported. Police believe people were inside the building at the time.
