Trump Surges Federal Police to Patrol DC After Floating Takeover

President Donald Trump moved to increase the presence of federal police around Washington, DC, a day after suggesting he could act to seize control of the capital city.

The effort would see law enforcement from more than a dozen agencies — including the FBI, DEA, and ATF — deploy for at least a week, according to a White House official who requested anonymity to detail the push.
