BGOV Bill Analysis: H.R. 7567, Farm Bill Reauthorization

Federal farm aid, food assistance, conservation, trade, energy, and other programs would be reauthorized through 2031 under a modified version of H.R. 7567, House Republicans’ latest farm bill proposal.

The nearly 900-page measure, called the “skinny” farm bill or farm bill 2.0, would reauthorize programs that were left out of Republicans’ 2025 tax-and-spending law (Public Law 119-21, BGOV Bill Analysis), which used the budget reconciliation process to extended several major agriculture programs without needing Democrats’ support.
