Chinese paint manufacturers face expulsion from the world of federally funded roadways under the draft surface transportation reauthorization measure unveiled Sunday by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
The Department of Transportation would study the feasibility of requiring American-made yellow paint for road and highway markings under the proposal. An affirmative finding would lead to a recommendation that the Office of Management and Budget include US yellow paint in federal Buy America requirements, according to draft language.
