Defense, Spending, Nominations Top Thune’s December Senate Plans

Senate Majority Leader John Thune plans to move another package of President Donald Trump’s nominees during a busy last month of the year.

Thune (R-S.D.) previewed his legislative priorities for December, including delivering on his promise for Democrats to hold a floor vote of their choosing on expiring health care tax credits. He said the chamber will also plan to move on the next package of appropriations, which faces a looming deadline at the end of January.
