Senate Republicans surpassed the last major procedural hurdle on their way to confirming 48 of President Donald Trump’s nominees at once, setting new precedent in the chamber.
The Senate completed a series of votes on Wednesday to go nuclear again and lower the threshold on the group of nominees from 60 votes to a simple majority, allowing them to limit debate on the dozens of picks.
