House lawmakers scrapped language in a revised tax-cuts-and-spending bill that sought to allow the sale of public lands in Nevada and Utah.

  • Move, which comes hours ahead of an expected House vote, is a win for Democrats and Republicans, including Rep. Ryan Zinke (Mont.) who oppose the sale of public lands
  • The language taken out was approved by the Natural Resources Committee and would have allowed the sale of hundreds of thousands of acres of public land in Nevada and Utah
