A new congressional map in Tennessee favors Republicans in all nine districts, a boost to the party’s uphill campaign to defy history and keep control of the House in President Donald Trump’s second midterm election.
Trump would have carried all nine modified districts by at least 20 percentage points in the 2024 presidential election, according to Dave’s Redistricting App, a political mapmaking website.
The new map, which the Republican legislature and Gov. Bill Lee (R) swiftly enacted earlier this month, dismantled the state’s only Democratic district — the Memphis-area, Black-majority 9th District of Rep.
