Three officials nominated by President Donald Trump to lead US agriculture policy were confirmed 51-47 in a Senate vote on Tuesday.

  • Lynda Blanchard was confirmed to be US ambassador to United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture
  • Michael Boren is set to lead the Agriculture Department’s natural resources and environmental work, including the US Forest Service
  • Devon Westhill will be USDA’s top civil rights official
  • Westhill held the same role during first Trump administration, Blanchard was US ambassador to Slovenia
